Chandelier Cleaning and Conservation

Chandelier cleaning and conservation work on a chandelier normally involves dismantling the various components before re-wiring and careful minimal cleaning can begin. All styles and sizes of chandelier come into our workshop requiring attention, many arriving with detached or missing crystal drops. Carefully matched reclaimed crystals are used wherever possible when replacements are needed. Alternatively we can use new, replacement lead crystals, manufactured in the traditional way, which can be polished to match the original.

Gilt, brass or bronze chandeliers are normally surface cleaned using a specialist chandelier cleaning solution, so that no distortion occurs.

When conservation is complete a chandelier’s components are carefully reassembled and tested prior to delivery and re-hanging.
