Any item coming to, or being collected by us, is fully examined before being dismantled. A careful record of any unusual features and markings is made. It is then necessary to dismantle the item in order to carry out an in-depth examination along with an initial cleaning process. A plan of all required repair/conservation work is discussed with our client. Any replacement parts, apart from mainsprings, are handmade.

A final cleaning process takes place before reassembly, lubrication and testing. Once the clock is operating satisfactorily arrangements will be made for its return.

All our full conservation and repair work is guaranteed for twelve months.
