Traditional dark furniture is currently not in vogue and we are frequently asked to change the appearance and finish of such pieces. A good example of this is dark Ercol furniture from the 1950’s which can now appear a little outdated. We update such styles, refinishing with a natural finish. We can also repair structural damage and replace webbing, cushions and fabrics according to our clients’ instructions. Other dark wood finishes can be changed to a contemporary ‘shabby chic’ look by means of a number of different techniques.
